1. Who are Blanco & Gomez Wine Merchants?
Blanco & Gomez Wine Merchants Ltd is a full-service retail merchant of fine wines and spirits in Chelsea. It distinguish itself from the competition, following the best practices of its retail category leaders, with particular emphasis on excellent customer service, a broad selection of quality inventory, and competitive pricing.
2. Is there a minimum order size?
Definitely not! Who are we to tell the customer what to do! You are free to buy as much or as little as you like. (But do bear in mind that delivery charges may apply - see the following point).
3. Delivery information and charges
For orders of all items we normally guarantee delivery within seven days of your order. The guaranteed delivery window will be confirmed during the checkout process. However, if it is not possible to come to a mutually agreeable delivery arrangement within this timeframe delivery may take longer.
Deliveries in greater London would be FREE of charge within the M25. A minimum purchase of £250 would be require
We may use an independent courier. The courier will only attempt to deliver the product twice, after which we regret that you will be responsible for making your own arrangements with them for delivery. The products will be returned to our warehouse if they have not been collected from the courier 3 days after the second delivery attempt, and we reserve the right to pass on the cost of redelivery in this event.
Mainland UK delivery is available with a small charge. Deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man and Scottish Islands are subject to a delivery supplement.
We do offer worldwide deliveries. Please note all countries has different regulations, duties. A minimum quantity order would be require.
4. When can I visit the shop?
We are open 7 days a week:
Monday-Saturday: 10.00 am - 8:00 pm
Sunday: 12.00 m - 7:00 pm
Summer and Christmas season we are open until 10:00 pm
We are open Bank Holidays as normal, with the exception of Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day when we are closed.
5. I am having a party - can you help with glass hire?
If you order your wine from our shop we can arrange glass hire. There is a small charge per glass which is fully refundable when the glasses are returned clean and polish. If the party is local to one of our shops we can also offer timed delivery with pre-chilled wine. Bulk discounts may also be possible depending on quantities ordered - please contact us for more details.
6. Can I buy your wines online?
No, I am afraid we do not have that facility at the moment. Although, you could place an order and we will get back to you within 24 hours confirming availability, therefore we will arrange the payment.
7. Our contract
When you place an order with us you will be sent an e-mail confirming receipt of your order and setting out the details. Your order represents an offer to purchase from us, which is accepted by us when we contact you (usually by email but sometimes by telephone) with confirmation stating that we have the goods available. Any goods on the same order which have not been confirmed as having been dispatched do not form part of that contract.
8. What is the Blanco & Gomez policy on breakages from deliveries?
Although the courier should advise us if there are any breakages, it's still very important that you let us know ASAP of any stock damage once received so we can investigate with the delivery operator and source replacement wine for you. PLEASE BE CERTAIN TO CHECK THE NUMBER OF PARCELS YOU ARE SIGNING FOR - WE CANNOT REPLACE WINES THAT HAVE BEEN SIGNED FOR BUT NOT ACTUALLY RECEIVED. As you can appreciate to prevent fraudulent damage claims we need to be made aware of damage ASAP thus we prefer to be notified via e-mail or phone within 24 hrs.
9. Is Blanco & Gomez able to source wine not offered on the site?
Yes! We always stress to site visitors that we can assist in tracking down that hard to get wine. Just drop us an email and we'll let you know what we can do, as we have access to many distributors and key contacts in the industry.
10. Can I order from overseas?
No problem. Payment can be made by credit card, bank cheque or money order in Pounds Sterling. Any customs taxes / charges are the responsibility of the buyer. We use TNT and extra-secure packaging is used to protect from breakages. Please refer to the "Delivery Information" - number 3 in this list additional info.
11. Pricing Information
All prices quoted on Blanco & Gomez Wine Merchants are in Pounds Sterling. VAT is included in the price. All prices are subject to change.
12. Legal Ordering Age
Blanco & Gomez Wine Merchants will not sell to anyone under the legal drinking age of 18 years.
13. Does Blanco & Gomez Offer Refunds?
We will provide a full refund or replacement for any wines that are faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.
We may require faulty bottles to be returned to us. We will arrange this as necessary at your convenience.
You may request 'sale-or-return' when ordering online, which is offered subject to agreement in advance of delivery with the delivering store, subject to any specific conditions as notified by the store.
14. Can I send wine as a gift to someone else?
Yes! When ordering wines as a gift, please be sure to give us all the details such as recipient's name, contact phone number, and any message you would like to include. We need a contact number to ensure that someone can receive the gift, or will authorise the gift to be left securely - without a contact number, we may have to charge you for re-delivery if the couriers are unable to deliver after 2 attempts.
