The nose is a bit Pilsner-like and incorporates toasted grain and smoky notes that subsequently complement a bittersweet midpalate dominated by Bosc pear, pear seeds and lemon rind. Smoky and toasty notes merge in the satisfyingly sustained, downright gripping finish, along with a mouthwateringly saline savor of shrimp-shell reduction.
