It's big full-flavoured wine needing big, powerful food. Spicy stews, rich beef or lamb dishes, or classic Italian sausage work well.

TASTING NOTE:

An open, spicy nose with aromas of cedar, cherry, leather and wild fruit characters. The palate displays bitter cherry, mocha and a dried orange peel tang with a youthful sappy feel. The tannins are fine and evident yet well balanced with the fruit - to produce a well-structured wine which, whilst being delicious now, will continue to evolve over the next 5-10 years.
